Revit Architecture Basic Training - Concept to Schematic Design
Autodesk® Revit® Architecture building design software works the way architects and designers think, so you can develop higher-quality, more accurate architectural designs. Built for Building Information Modeling (BIM), Autodesk Revit Architecture helps you capture and analyze concepts and maintain your vision through design, documentation, and construction. Make more informed decisions with information-rich models
to support sustainable design, construction planning, and fabrication. Automatic updates keep your designs and documentation coordinated and more reliable.
The Revit Architecture Basics class is a beginning level course for new users of Revit Architecture. This course is designed to teach basic Revit functionality as you would work with it in the design process, from conceptual design through schematic design. Begin by learning about the user interface and the Revit commands for design development, followed by project and view setup, ending with a thorough look at the complete set of dynamic 3D modeling tools. The objective of the Revit Architecture fundamentals course is to enable students to set up and create full 3D architectural project models. This training guide focuses on basic tools that all users need to work with Revit Architecture.
Duration:
2 Days at training location.
Prerequisites:
An understanding of Architectural terminology is an asset.
Basic CAD and computer knowledge helpful.
Topics Include:
Understand the purpose of Building Information Management (BIM) and how it is applied in Revit.
Using the Revit Architecture workspace and interface.
Working with the basic drawing and editing tools in Revit.
Creating Levels and Grids as datum elements for the model.
Creating a 3D building model with walls, curtain walls, windows, and doors.
Adding floors and roofs to the building model.
